Welcome 2010

Yes this is what you think it is....a baby toilet, and the subject of my toddlers attention the past few days. We have had the toilet for some time now, we just leave it in the bathroom and she will sit on it and pretend to use it. We haven't been pushing the issue of potty training, it happens when it happens. But in the past few days Valkyrie has taken an interest in the toilet. Off and on for weeks now she will ask to use it and sometimes she really does have to go, but Friday........She pooped! She was playing in the living room and she said "mommy poopoo." She then preceded to tell me she had to go and wanted to use the potty. I was nursing Skyler so Jeff followed her into the bathroom and let her attempt to go poop, but to his surprised, she did! Awesome! We praised her like crazy, high fives and dancing. Then yesterday afternoon during a routine diaper change I was explaining to Valkyrie about the sensation you feel before you need to go, She then said she wanted to go pee, so again Jeff went into the bathroom with her and she peed. (Jeff does most of the bathroom runs and he does the cleaning as well, thanks Jeff)

She is by no means potty trained yet, but as any proud mother, I needed to share the big milestones with you all.
